NPL Becomes Champions Series Pickleball—And the Name Fits
Change is part of growth—and this one makes a lot of sense.
Effective today, the National Pickleball League (NPL) is officially rebranding to Champions Series Pickleball (CSP). The new name reflects where the league is headed and who it’s built for: experienced players who are still competitive, still passionate, and still showing up.
Champions Series Pickleball now represents both professional league play and a premier tournament series, specifically created for athletes in the 40+, 50+, and 60+ divisions. As pickleball continues to grow, CSP is leaning into a truth many of us already know—some of the best players, leaders, and ambassadors of the sport aren’t new to competition. They’ve lived it.
What stands out most isn’t just the level of play, but the people. CSP’s player community is filled with athletes who are champions on the court and leaders off it—individuals who have built careers, families, businesses, and communities long before stepping into this chapter of competitive pickleball. The talent is impressive, but the character might be even better.
The rebrand also honors where it all started. CSP’s new logo gives a nod to the league’s NPL roots, keeping familiar elements like the pickleball icon and a similar typography. It’s an evolution—not a reset—and a reminder that growth doesn’t mean forgetting the foundation.
About Champions Series Pickleball
Founded in 2022 as the National Pickleball League, Champions Series Pickleball was created by Champion Pros who saw a gap and stepped in to fill it. CSP offers a space where seasoned athletes can continue competing at a high level, stay connected to the game they love, and prove that age isn’t a limitation—it’s an advantage.
This new chapter feels less like a rebrand and more like a statement: pickleball doesn’t have an expiration date, and champions don’t either.
