On November 15-16, thousands of fans are expected to fill the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Music Hall as the PCL Asia Manila Sectionals deliver a two-day spectacle of elite pickleball. Fans can expect a nonstop party filled with fierce competition, celebrity flair, contests, and a historic goal: 

To set a new world record for the largest live audience ever to watch a pickleball tournament in a public venue. 

Matches will run from mall opening until nightfall, transforming the MOA Sports Hub into a high-energy arena streaming live on Puso Pilipinas and showcasing the best of pickleball from across the region.

Celebrities, Competition, and Charity — The Showdown Begins!

Star power meets paddle power in the PCL Celebrity Charity Showdown, where some of the Philippines’ favorite personalities will swap red carpets for court lines:

  • Daniel Matsunaga- model, actor, and athlete known for his competitive spirit

  • Phoemela Baranda- TV host and fitness icon

  • Rodjun Cruz- actor, dancer, and all-around performer

  • Ariela Arida- Miss Universe Philippines 2013 and beauty queen with a champion’s drive

These celebrities will battle it out for a ₱50,000 prize (~$850 USD) and bragging rights—plus, the chance to team up with international pickleball guests Adam Bobrow, the world’s most entertaining table tennis personality, and Rob Nunnery, Director of Pickleball for RAM Sports and PCL Asia ambassador.

The Celebrity Charity Showdown adds a feel-good twist to the high-energy weekend, blending sportsmanship and star power to spotlight pickleball’s growing impact in the Philippines. Expect rallies, laughs, and trick shots—all for a good cause.
